Basic Safety for Contractors.
All contractors wishing to enter a petro-chem site or civil
engineering site, must have a vva-1. This is regardless of
the profession or position you have.
The vva-1 exam consists of 35 multi-choice questions, of which
you must give no more than 12 incorrect answers. The grading
goes from a maximum of ten down to a minimum of six. Anything
over a six is a pass. A fail is a fail, there is no post-mortem
on what went wrong.
You are given 4 possible answers, only one of which will
be correct. We have course notes available, which we would
strongly advise you to contact us and ask for the free course
book . There are several pages of sample questions.
You will not be allowed to have the book with you during
the examination. You will receive a pencil, a page on which
to place your answers and a question sheet. All must be handed
in when you have finished your exam. You have 1 hour to complete
the question paper, if you are finished before that time,
hand in your paper work and leave the examination room.
You will normally be given the results soon after all candidates
have completed the exam.
You will soon be able to take the VVA1 Safety Exam online,
